Welcome, Tricia and Sarah!
Happy summer, friends! We're delighted to welcome two new interns to Winsor Music this summer, both from Smith College in Northampton, MA. Meet Tricia Kopko and Sarah Netsky!
Soprano Patricia Kopko recently graduated from Smith College with degrees in Chemistry and Music. At Smith, she was a member of the Glee Club, the Chamber Singers, and the Handbell Choir. Last summer, she studied traditional Korean music at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea. Patricia is the 2015 winner of the Smith College Concerto Competition, and earlier this year she played Joy in Ronald Perera’s one-act opera The Araboolies of Liberty Street. Patricia is excited to join Winsor Music this summer as an intern and intends to pursue a career in arts administration and vocal performance.
Sarah Netsky is very excited to be interning at Winsor Music this summer. She was born and raised in Cambridge, MA, and throughout her life, she has had a consistent passion for music, both listening to it and performing it. She has studied piano with Catherine Lawlor at the New School of Music in Cambridge and with Liza Stepanova at Smith College. She has also played clarinet in the Smith College Wind Ensemble. She is currently pursuing an Italian Studies major and an Archives Concentration at Smith, and has just finished her sophomore year. She will spend her junior year studying in Florence, Italy, with the Smith program there.
