Komorebi is the perfectly concise and poetic Japanese word for sunlight that is filtered through the leaves of trees—and also the title of Winsor’s latest commission by Marti Epstein. Crystalline and meditative, Epstein’s music paints a sonic landscape bathed in slowly morphing light. American music enriches this program, with works by Jacob Druckman, Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, and George Gershwin. The evening is rounded out with the Suite for Violin, Clarinet and Piano of Darius Milhaud.
