Our popular annual Lineage concert this season features Emmy-nominated composer and oud virtuoso Kareem Roustom. Roustom's genre-crossing collaborations include commissions from conductor Daniel Barenboim and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, works for the Kronos Quartet, and arrangements for pop icons Shakira and Tina Turner.

Discover the rich tapestry of influences that shape Roustom’s music—from Britten, Debussy, & Purcell to Orthodox liturgical music and Syrian folk traditions and hear a brand-new work of Roustom’s written especially for Winsor. The program also includes a special world premiere by student composers of Project STEP developed in collaboration with Winsor and Roustom. Expect an evening of unexpected connections, the soulful sounds of the oud, and a celebration of mentorship!
