Winsor Music's second concert of the 2016-17 season features Young Artist Njioma Grevious, violin and the world premiere of Bluer than Midnight by British composer Charlotte Bray.
Winsor Music is proud to announce that the 2016-2017 concert season marks our twentieth anniversary. This celebratory season is all about visiting friends, old and new. Our opening concert features the La Fenice Quintet, a group of long-time friends who seem happiest when playing together, and the Boston premiere of a work by one of our dear friends, Lev Mamuya.
Rising star George Li returns to Winsor Music as the Young Artist for the final concert of the season, performing the Brahms Quintet for piano and strings in f minor, Op. 34. Portuguese composer Andreia Pinto-Correia gives the world premiere of her new quartet for oboe and strings, Dalla Legenda aurea.
Our annual spring benefit concert supports Winsor Music’s education programs, which include participatory children’s concerts at inner-city schools,our mentoring program for high school students, and our largest educational endeavor, scholarships to summer music camps for talented young musicians of color.

The Apple Hill String Quartet returns to perform an exquisite chamber version of Haydn's "Miracle" Symphony with Peggy Pearson. Ms. Pearson and members of the Apple Hill Quartet will give the world premiere of Yi Yiing Chen's quartet for oboe and strings, Sailing Against Time, a reflection on her family’s journey with Alzheimer’s disease. Finally, the Apple Hill Quartet takes center stage with Beethoven’s "Harp" Quartet.

The Apple Hill Quartet joins Peggy for the final concert of the 2014-15 season. James Primosch presents the premiere of his new quartet for oboe and strings, and we will conclude our season-long exploration of Haydn's chamber works with the Symphony Quintetto, an exquisite chamber arrangement of his Symphony No. 97. Composer Eric Nathan adds to Winsor Music's collection of Songs for the Spirit with a hymn setting of Emily Dickinson's "'Hope' is the thing with feathers."
